Enivrez-vous

Il faut être toujours ivre.  Tout est là: c’est l’unique question.  Pour ne pas sentir l’horrible fardeau du Temps qui brise vos épaules et vous penche vers la terre, il faut vous enivrer sans trêve.
Mais de quoi?  De vin, de poésie ou de vertu, à votre guise.  Mais enivrez-vous.

Latin American Revelation

Ceviche is my new favorite food. Nota bene, anyone looking to get to my heart through my stomach. (Of course, the old stand-bys–goat cheese, camembert, serrano ham/prosciutto, fruit, red wine, plain yogurt, assorted custards–still work too.)

Pipes

Sometimes I feel like I ought to pay people who smoke pipes on the sidewalks–the way you might pay street musicians or those statue-people–because they are definitely making positive ambient contributions.

I’m always tempted to trail pipe-smokers in the streets: the smell is just so delicious.
